A great majority of dental emergencies arise from the teeth that need endodontic (root canal) treatment. If you are experiencing severe pain and/or swelling, please call our office right away. We will make every attempt to see you promptly for an evaluation visit to determine if endodontic treatment is right for you. During your initial evaluation, we will take x-rays, cone beam CT scan and do a thorough clinical examination to determine the cause of the problem and recommend endodontic treatment if necessary. We will help you understand the nature of the problem and treatment recommended. We will also answer your questions and address any concerns that you might have.

Even though a great majority of root canal treatments can be completed in one visit, emergency treatment is designed to provide relief from acute pain and/or swelling. In most cases, you will be scheduled another appointment to have the root canal treatment completed.
